| So many of us are cursed with bad eyesight at one time or another. The first thing that most everyone thinks when they find out they need glasses is that this is not something that can fit in their beauty regimen. Well, granted it does take a little getting use to if you've never had to wear them. Having to wear glasses myself I can certainly understand and sympathize with this. But,take heart! Spectacles are in. Just in case you haven't noticed. From the very large to the teeny tiny. It is not hard to find the right ones for you that can really make a statement. It is true,at least in my opinion, that they make people look more intelligent. There is also a certain beauty that they can lend to your overall look if you pick the right frames. Now,you have to be realistic, though, because some prescriptions just can't be fitted into certain frames. That just the way it is. But for the most part most prescriptions will fit just fine in any frame you choose. Frames are also made better now than ever before and with technology's advanced improvements they are made even faster! All you have to do is select the ones that are suited to you. It is also important to select frames in colors or hues that you wear most of the time. Some people select them to go with their eyes or hair. Just as long as it is color that is near enough to what you wear weddings fashion everyday. A simple way to figure this out is to look in your closet. What colors do your wardrobe mainly consist of? You can't go wrong with that color selection. Then select the color of frames that comes closest. It will also help to wear a color that you might wear to work when you go to select your frames even though it may be on the same day as your eye exam. Don't wear too much mascara when you go to take your eye exam or selecting your frames. The reason being that when the frames are measured to be fitted to your face, your eyelashes are not taken into consideration. In other words,if your eyelashes bump against your lenses you've used too much mascara. Which you should never do anyway. Use your glasses as a guide and you'll put on just the right amount. Too much is not good for your eyes anyway. Plus,if you happen to get mascara on your lenses sometimes it smears and is very hard to get off. It is possible to even scratch plastic lenses trying to get mascara

Beauty is Between Eyes and Mouth of The Beholden: Study |
|
Beauty is not so much in the eye of the beholder as in the measurements between the eyes, mouth and ears of the woman being observed, US and Canadian researchers have found.
In four experiments aimed at finding "an ideal facial feature arrangement," US and Canadian researchers asked students to compare color photographs of the same woman's face, in which the vertical distance between the eyes and mouth, and horizontal distance between the eyes, had been doctored using Photoshop.
The features eyes, mouth, nose, contour and hair remained the same and a woman's face was only compared to her own, never to another's.
Students looked at different pictures of the same woman's face laid out side by side and selected the face they found more attractive. In all four experiments, they chose the faces with specific proportions that the researchers have dubbed the "new golden ratio."
Two of the experiments tested for the ideal distance between the eyes and mouth as compared to total face length, measured from the hairline to the chin. Both came up with 36 percent as the golden ratio for "the maximally attractive face."
The other two experiments measured both the ideal length and width ratios. They both confirmed 36 percent as the golden ratio for the length of the maximally attractive face, and 46 percent as the ideal width ratio where the distance between the eyes is 46 percent of total face width, measured between the inner edges of the ears.
Happily, the 36/46 percent ratios "correspond with those of an average face", the study said, meaning there's no pressing need to get out the measuring tape and calculator or to rush to the plastic surgeon. The study looked only at white women. More research is needed to determine if the golden ratios for men's faces, the faces of people of other races, and children's faces, are the same as for the women's faces in the study. ____________________________________
