Use a Hair Dryer Safely
Read the warnings and instructions for your hair dryer before use. This includes any instructions in or on the box and the safety label on the cord of the hair dryer.
Set the hair dryer to the desired setting--often low, medium or high.
Plug the hair dryer into a grounded outlet.
Run the hair dryer over your hair, keeping it a safe distance from your scalp to avoid burning. Keep the plug away from hot surfaces while in use.
Unplug the hair dryer when you are done using it. Store it in a dry cabinet or storage space where it cannot fall or be pulled into a bathtub or sink.

Keep all openings of the hair dryer clear and free from lint or other obstructions.Only use manufacturer-approved products and attachments in the hair dryer.
Do not overload electrical outlets, and make sure that your plug fits in snugly without being forced.Never use the hair dryer where it can come into contact with water.
Don't use the hair dryer while in the bathtub, shower or outdoors or where aerosol, spray products or oxygen are in use.Do not set the hair dryer down on soft surfaces while in use, as doing such could pose a fire risk.
Do not leave the hair dryer plugged in, especially near sinks, toilets, bathtubs or any other source of water because it can cause severe electrical shock if it falls into water while being used.
